The more than 900 km of coastline in southern Spain offer a wealth of attractions: dream beaches, marine-terrestrial parks, and, of course, first-class maritime infrastructure. In this post, we tell you about the main marinas in Andalusia, which not only offer the best services to vessels but also to their navigators when they come ashore, as they have become true leisure centers. Take note and contact us if you require any services at these locations!

Puerto Banús, a Pioneer in Exclusivity
Puerto Banús, in Marbella, is not only one of the best marinas in Andalusia but also the great pioneer of high-end luxury tourism in the region, which began in the second half of the 20th century and is now well-established. It was inaugurated in 1970 and boasts 915 berths for vessels up to 50 meters in length and 4 meters in draft.

Puerto Marina de Benalmádena, Worthy of the Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol, in the province of Malaga, actually has many other marinas with high standards of infrastructure and a variety of services. A prime example is Puerto Marina de Benalmádena, with 1,045 berths for vessels up to 35 meters in length and 5 meters in draft.

Sotogrande, a True ‘Luxury’ for Andalusian Marinas
The province of Cádiz encompasses a part of the Costa del Sol. And not just any part, but Sotogrande, another benchmark for grand luxury throughout the community. Its port has 1,380 berths for vessels up to 30 meters in length.

Puerto Sherry, a Leisure Benchmark in El Puerto de Santa María
As we mentioned, Andalusian marinas have become leisure destinations. And one of the best examples is Puerto Sherry, in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz, Costa de la Luz). Beyond its 842 berths, with a maximum length of 55 meters and a maximum draft of 3.5 meters, this port is highly sought after for its rich gastronomic and commercial offerings, which make it a vibrant place.

Marina del Este, Exclusivity on the Costa Tropical
Despite its short length, the Costa Tropical of Granada also has much to offer. For example, Marina del Este, in the town of La Herradura (Almuñécar). It is relatively small (220 berths) but stands out as one of the most picturesque in the region.

Marina El Rompido, a Great River Port
Huelva is one of the provinces with the richest maritime tradition, and its marinas demonstrate this. Among them, Marina El Rompido stands out, which is actually a river port with 331 berths and a maximum length of 24 meters. Above all, it offers some of the most beautiful sunsets on the Andalusian coast.

Almerimar, Reclaiming the Poniente Almeriense
The province of Almería also boasts some of the best marinas in Andalusia. To the east, the Cabo de Gata Natural Park stands out for its beauty, and being protected, its ports are also more ‘minimalist’. But to the west are others of great importance, such as Almerimar, in El Ejido, with 997 berths and significant development in recent years.
